Sebastian was our guide for a day at Château de Chambord and Château de Chenonceau, and he made the whole trip. Before we even arrived at each one he’d given us the history behind it, so we walked in already knowing what we were looking at instead of just admiring old stone. Chambord and Chenonceau are very different places and he brought out what makes each of them special. He was just as good on the wine side, he explained how the wines were made and what to look for in a tasting before we got there, which made the tasting itself far more enjoyable than sipping and nodding along. Friendly, easy company all day. If you can request him, do.

Sebastion provided us with great information about the castles we visited and demonstrated the wine storage and the bottling process at the vineyard cave. The Chenonceau and Chambord castles were beautiful and the lunch was delicious!

We had a wonderful time exploring the Loire valley and chenonceau castle and the winery were fabulous. I would have Iiked more time to explore Amboise after lunch because we had to leave as soon as it was over. Other than that it was a fabulous day and the air conditioned mini van was such a pleasure in this heat!
